1. Over-view
1.1. Our terms and conditions reflects our operational manual and standard customer reply letters, all these are incorporated and reflects our company policy . This area is implemented to ensure there is a clear message to our customers and us, what we are about and a uniform
1.2. Procedures: The goal is to improve efficiency, avoid confusion and ultimately give you as a customer a happy experience when you trade with us.

1.5 ‘Items’ used in this terms and conditions mean the mobile phones, cameras, MP3, i-pods, or games.
1.6 Phones listed and not listed:
As Greentec.org are specialized to trade in specific models with high returns to our customers. If you cannot find your item(s) in the lists, please email us at services@greentec.org.uk with the maker and model, we will then provide a quotation for you accordingly.
2. Items grading guidelines:
It is essential for you to be as accurate as possible when you declare the quotation on our website following your grade of the items trade in, our criteria is as below:
2.1 Phones:
New -brand new phone which has never been used, total minutes should not exceed 15 minutes. Brand new phone is never been used with all new accessories. Screen plastic cover never been removed. screen: Completely No scratches or blemishes. Box is immaculate. To qualify as a new phone, the IMEI of the box needs to match the IMEI of the phone.
Mint -Mint Condition phone which has no Scratches or marks, looks as new. total minutes used should not exceed 50 minutes.. contains all accessories. Box is immaculate. To qualify as a mint phone, the IMEI of the box needs to match the IMEI of the phone.
WORKING -Working phone in reasonable condition with slight cosmetic blemishes, but working well with battery required, charger is preferred
The price for grading on our website is for the original items.
Non-working definition for mobile phone
Does not power up, LCD cracked ,spots-shades in screen, severely damaged. Badly damaged casing, severe scratches, no battery, missing aerial, faulty keypad, SIM Gate broken or missing, memory card holder broken or missing, pin locked, does not make calls or no network coverage. handset back/battery cover missing or broken, handset operating system missing or corrupt. Navigation not functioning correctly. Does not charge properly. Connections to loose.
Beyond Economical Repair (BER) definition for mobile phone
A BER graded handset is generally not able to be repaired to be reused. Stolen and counterfeit phones are treated as BER grade.
Beyond Economic Repair - water damaged, physically broken, in more than one piece, LCD severely cracked/broken/bleeding/ or missing, unresponsive touch screens, SIM glued in, Memory Card glued in, broken battery terminals, broken/cracked/snapped hinges, re-programmed IMEI number, on the IMEI blacklist register, barred by a network. If there is two or more classifications within the non-working section on your phone, this could deem your phone to be B.E.R
Greentec does not pay for BER phones sent to us. return policy will be implemented if not stolen.
Additional points for grading:
Your phone should be provide with power up when selecting grade of new, mint or working. If you send the phone with no power, it will be classified as non-working.
2.2 Cameras:
Working – fully working in excellent cosmetic conditions, camera battery, power cable ( unless AA battery) and data transfer cable provided To qualified as working,must power up at time of camera sent to us. If camera operates on ‘AA’ batteries , then no need to send batteries as we will test with our own.

2.3 I-pods:
Working- fully working in excellent cosmetic conditions. Usb charger provided to qualified as working. must Power up at the time of the ipod sent to us.

2.4 Games consoles:
Working- fully working in excellent cosmetic conditions. charger provided to qualified as working. must Power up at the time of the ipod sent to us.

2.5 Non-working definition for Camera ,I pods, games consoles
Does not power up, LCD cracked ,spots-shades-bleeding in screen, water damage, damaged casing, severe scratches, faulty keypad, cover missing or broken, operating system missing or corrupt. Navigation not functioning correctly. Does not charge properly. Connections to loose. Serial number isn’t readable. Item engraved. Dent is near the hard drive. sound is distorted.
3 . All items:
3.1 We would ask all our customers not to overstate your items sent in to us, as this just creates more work for us, and it will delay the speed of your payment at the same time. Please do state any drawback or problems of your items on your order if there are any as this will also help speed the process.
3.2 If your items fall outside the grading list, please refer to the value differences under pricing.
Items sent with that has no power will be classified as non-working. Payment for non-working will only be for Mobil phones.
3.3 IMEI number\ Serial number
IMEI number
On the back of your mobile phone, there is a unique reference code as IMEI number, which is designed to allow manufacturers track the usage and location of the handsets.
This number can be found either:
On the back of handset under the battery, there shows the IMEI number, the make and the model of the handset on the sticker.
Or if you enter *#06# into your keypad, the handset should report your IMEI number. This number is needed for the purpose of better administrating your order.
Serial number
For your camera, I-pod and game consoles, we use a serial number to track your order. You can find this number on your items.
Personal information
Please remove the SIM card and all other personal data stored in the item(s) before sending them to us.
4. Pricing
4.1 Because of the nature of our product, our price values are always changing and therefore are reviewed all the time. Our offered product price can change without notice but we do guarantee a 5 day price hold if you have already completed the form. we advise you to fill in the price when trading in phones with us.
4.2 Our phones are graded as either New, mint, working or non- working grade. If we are advertising on an affiliated comparison web site, we will take our price of working ‘C ‘ grade classification.
4.3 All the items on our web site have a value, if your item/items has no value and it has already been sent to us, it will not be economical for us to return it unless you agree to pay the administration fee as per the section on our return phones (Terms and Conditions). If we don’t hear from you within 3 days of our email sent to you, we will dispose of this phone for you and the matter will be then considered as closed.
The value we offer for your items is upon receipt depending on their condition.
4.4 Customer must fully complete paperwork and send with order. If the phone does not come with paper work then the price/grading will then graded accordingly without notifying the customer before hand ,and our price will be logged on that basis only. The 5 day price hold can not be applicable to items sent with paper work. All phones with out paperwork once matched will be paid out at the current values of the time the customer contacts us.
4.5 Our offer is not applicable to dealers and stockists, but it is applied to registered charities.
5 .Value Differences
5.1 Revised prices are placed on the phone if it has fallen outside the grading. The reason will be stated as to why this revised price is made. Any difference from the customer evaluation over £5.00 will be sent to you by email and you have up to 3 working days to get back to us if you have any issues. If we don’t hear from you, payment will then go to process. If we do not have the customers email, then a letter will go out.
Price differences of £5.00 and under will be notified at the point of payment if you are receiving a cheque from us. You will then have up to 5 days to email or write to us back if you have any issues.
5.2 If you have requested a bank transfer then once payment gone ahead, the customer can then request by email or writing if they so wish within 14 days of receiving the bank transfer payment and confirm details from us in regard to any price difference.
In all cases above, if we don’t hear from you within 5 working days of the deadline stated, then we will deem the matter as closed.

6. Payment:
6.1 Payment period: Payment will be Endeavour to be made within 5 working days if its paid by bank transfer and within 7 working days if by cheque.
The payment is upon the point the we receive the phone and the cheques/bank tranfer leaving our office, but if the phone has a grade/price issue, then it takes longer as we need to communicate this to you the customer.
6.2 Payment by bank transfer: please provide the bank name, the person’s name whom the payment needs to be credited to, sort code, and account number.
Payment by Cheque: Please provide cheque made payable to (Name), cheque postal address and postcode. Cheque payment takes more time than bank transfer.
If you choose your payment via cheque, please ensure your full name and address with your order are correct during the transaction process.
All cheque payments will be sent out via second class, it takes up to 3 days in the post. Please allow enough time, otherwise we have to cancel the cheque and re-issue another one which will take much longer.
Please note it will take longer for the payment to process if any order contains the incorrect postal address, handset model or IMEI data, or if the customer does not accurately describe the phone grade and conditions.
The lead time of bank transfer, we are able to provide 'faster payment service' which means you can receive the funds two hours after the funds is transferred into your account, But If your bank is not with APACS then this can take up to 3 working days to credit your account. To know if your bank is associated with APACS, please log into http://www.apacs.org.uk/sortcodechecker/ following the instructions.
If your phone is of low value, then all payments made of £5.00 or less have to be paid by bank transfer as payment charges are a lot cheaper. Please ensure you provide us with your bank details if this is the case.
6.3 Payment by chq will attain a 1.99 additional admin fee. Nb: all bank transfers does not have this admin charge
6.4 Greentec issues payment based on the details the customer provides to us, we cannot be held responsible if incorrect details are supplied for any loss of post sent via our free post address as that is a second class service, and also cannot be a proper verified tracked mail services. If a cheque does not arrived to you within our guideline time, please email us and we will look into it. We will issues another cheque only after 14 days of you notifying that you have not received it as it will cost 10 pound to our company to cancel. Notification will only be accepted by email.
7. Shipping
7.1 Please post any traded-in handset(s),cameras, ipods or games consoles to us in an envelope or box to either our Freepost address or our postal address by recorded delivery or next day delivery. Please ensure your item/items are protected enough from damage in transport.

7.2 We are not responsible for any loss of post sent via our free post address as that is a second class service, and cannot be tracked mail services. You are also advised to take a certificate of postage from the post office when sending your items.
7.3 For all post, postage will be paid at Greentec expenses when you use our freepost address, otherwise you must pay your postage yourself.
7.4 We recommend you use insured post to guarantee the safety of your items
Please remember to include a copy of your order with your item/items.
7.5 Tracking your order
You will get an automatic reply confirming your phone/registration.
8. Trading to Greentec
8.1 Greentec reserve the right to refuse to purchase any items and to limit the number of the purchases that are honored to any customer at their sole discretion. The risk of loss of your items posted to us passes to us upon receiving from the carrier. We are not responsible if any damage occurs during shipping.
8.2 Once you have posted or dropped in your items, if your request your item/items back there will be a return charge. Please refer to returned items section.
8.3 It is strongly recommended that you properly and safely pack your items in your own envelope before sending them in to Greentec, to minimise the risk of damage.
8.4 For all items sent to us at that time its checked will be priced, if there are missing things from the items sent, i.e. batteries etc, we will not be able to accept the missing thing at a latter stage as your item would have completed the processing stage.
8.5 For all items sent to us that has no paperwork attached with it and if you do not know or have not tracked the IMEI number, then we can not match your order and process the payment. We will classified the grading-price at that time and price will be logged on that basis only. . we will wait for you to contact us before we make payment as you will need to assist us in matching the details. Greentec issues payment base on the details the customer provides to us, we cannot be responsible if incorrect details supplied. All phones with out paperwork once matched will be paid out at the current values of the time you contact us.
8.6 The Value we offer for your items is upon receipt depending on their condition.
If a item is provided to us and is not on our web site then we can only price it base on the average of what our competitive would offer. But we will reserve the right not to take the item(s) and customer can request item back as per return policy.
8.7 Once we have posted your cheque, you have up to 5 working days (allowing for 3 days postage) to contact us about your phone. Once 5 working days is passed we will then deem this matter as closed.
8.8 Your goods must be physically received by Greentec within 5 days of your order being placed. Exceeding this period, quoted prices may vary or orders may be cancelled.
8.9 If you don’t have access to a computer or you are not sure how to get on our web site then you can write us a hand written form with all the basic details.
9 . From Ireland:
We welcome customers from Ireland too, and you are welcome to use our freepost address, via our terms and conditions. Northern Ireland has the same standard postage rate as the UK, please check costs at your post office if from any other part of Ireland.
10. Returned items
10.1 There will be an admin fee of £7.50 for each item to be returned, that needs to be paid in advance by cheque or bank transfer prior your item/items returned. This is because our company would have incurred possible postage charges and spent time processing in receiving/returning your products. The item will be sent back by recorded delivery and the tracking of the phone will be down to the client. We will provide you with the recorded delivery number.
10.2 If you want your item insured , then this will incur an additional 5 pound to cover the special delivery/admin cost to facilitate this been done for you.
All returned items would be due to your item presented to us does not meet our required guidelines or we are not in agreement with the revised price.
10.3 Equipment that is suspected or reported stolen may be referred to the appropriate authorities for further investigation, along with the name and contact details of the customer. No customer payment will be made if the Equipment IMEI (serial number) is inaccessible, or appears on any of the Stolen/Blocked Asset registers.
If the phone is requested to be returned due to the your IMEI number not matching on our database ,or your phone has been re-programmed, or we not satisfied with our finding as to the phone been original, then the re-turn charge will be 12.50. This is because we would have spent a excessive amount time investigating your phone origin.
10.4 If we do not hear from you within 3 working days by email, we will close the matter and will have no other alternative but to destroy the phone on your behalf.
10.5 Our company if its identified that we are going to run at a loss of more than 3% to reselling your product, we then reserve the right to return your items at no charge of postage back to yourself. The return will be made on the basic of the way of recorded delivery or if you sent it by special delivery will return it back the same way on proof of items sent. This only applicable on product with no paperwork, or product that's is under revised price which cause a extra time period and in turn causes a further loss in value to the product.
11. Item/items sent to us that don't have the correct postage value:
For all post, postage will be paid at Greentec expenses when you use our freepost address, otherwise you must pay your postage yourself. If the post is under value, we will have to pick up the extra charges so we will automatically deduct a £4.50 postage and administration fee from the value of your product traded in with us.
12. Phone needing Pin code:
If the phone is sent to us and it is identified it needs a pin code, as per terms and conditions under grading it will be graded as non working. We will then email you requesting the pin lock code. If you are unable to provide us the lock code, then the phone will be grading will stay the same. If the pin code is provided, grading will then be moved back to the working price and re-graded base on that. We will automatically deduct a £4.50 administration/operational fee from the value of your product traded in with us as we have incurred additional labour.
13. Referral Program
Greentec will pay our existing customers 5 pounds when they successfully refer a new customer to us. A successful referral is when Greentec.org.uk new referred customer complete trade in with Greentec and receives payment from us.
The new customer been referred must have a total value of items to exceed over 50 pounds). The commission is paid to the existing customer referring only once the new customers complete trade in with Greentec and receive payment from us.
The existing customer can refer as many people as they like and receive the 5 pound referral for each new customer but the new customer can only be referred once.
Greentec may disqualify any referral commission at its sole discretion, if attempts have been made to circumvent or manipulate the intended operation of this program.
All referral transactions are governed by the terms and conditions.
To qualify a referral, form A must be completed and send to us.
14. Accessing the website
By accessing this website, you agree these conditions, and any orders placed must be in accordance with these conditions.
15. Our rights of the website
We reserve the right to modify or withdraw fully or partially of this website without notice and we shall not be liable for any modification.
16. Your Privacy
We will treat all your personal information as confidential for your transaction with us.
17. Communicate Electronically
When you use Greentec.org.uk website to input your orders, or send email to us, this means it has been agreed to communicate and trade electronically with us, we also write you email or public notice on the website and you agree such communication meet legal requirements.
