1.       Why do mobile phones need to be recycled?
Some mobile phones contain arsenic, mercury and other dangerous toxic substances. Some forms of mobile phone batteries contain Cadmium, a toxic substance. If a significant quantity of such substances is leaked, it can cause environmental and health problems due to it’s’ highly toxic levels.


2.       What are the benefits of using Greentec to recycle my mobile phone?
Greentec is a company that works to not only help the individual (the customer) benefit, but also works to help environment and various charities.


3.       I can’t find my phone in the website listings- What can I do?
Send us an email at services@greentec.org.uk with the make and model of your phone and we will provide a quote based on that. From there, you can send us your phone and we will grade it accordingly.


4.       What are the postage prices when sending my phone to Greentec?
Pack your phone in a box or jiffy bag (securely, to protect the phone) and send it to our office address, as stated on the “Shipping” section of the website. You can send your phone by recorded delivery or next day delivery to ensure the safe shipping of your phone.
We do have a Freepost address that can also be found in the “Shipping” section, where phones can be sent by second class to us free of charge. Please be aware that Greentec are not held responsible for any damages that may occur when using the Freepost address.
If, due to postal errors on the part of the customer, Greentec will take any administration costs out of the total value of the phone you have sent.
Please do not enclose your SIM card when sending us your phone


5.       My phone has not arrived yet- What shall I do?
Contact us by email at services@greentec.org.uk and we will endeavour to track down your phone for you and respond to you within the next few hours.


6.       How will I be paid after sending you my phone?
The methods that Greentec use to pay for your phone are bank transfer or cheque.
If you are choosing to be paid by bank transfer, please provide us with your name, bank name, account number and sort code.
If you would prefer to be paid by cheque, please ensure that we have your full name and address in order to write and send the cheque.


7.       How do Greentec decide how much my phone is worth?
Greentec use a grading process to establish the worth of your phone. The phone is graded either new,mint working or non-working  depending on whether it is brand new or whether it shows evidence of wear and tear (i.e. screen scratching, back coming off etc).


8. When will I receive my money?
Once your phone has been graded which normal happens not latter than one day after we received the phone, we will  endevedour to send you the money  within 7 days  of receiving your item either through bank transfer or cheque.

9.       My phone is broken, can Greentec still accept it?
If your phone is broken and there is no way it can be repaired without cost to Greentec, it will be labelled as BER (Beyond Economic Repair). Stolen or counterfeit versions of phones will also be deemed BER. Greentec will not return your phone if it has been deemed BER.


10. What do you do with the phones or all the items?
 We recycle them, and you can you email to us info@greentec.org.uk if you need further information


 11. The models are not on the site, can you help me please?
 Provide us by Email to services@greentec.org.uk, all the details of the item, record the maker, the model of the item and we will get back to you with an answer. But generally if it’s not on our web site its is likely that we wont process your order.


 12. I got an phone, not sure what grade it is, could please help me?
 The quickest and easy way of this is to following our terms and conditions. and  that normally gives a clear idea of what grading you should classified your item at. If you still have a problem then it could be suggested that you could  post to us then we can decide from there. 


13. I have posted a phone to you, can I check what is the status now?
Send an email in with their order details. We can then check your order status and get back to you.  Your phone might still be in transit and if you have just sent it off, it might be suggested to give it a couple more days and this probably save alot of back and forward communications.
Nb:
Freepost can take up to 3-10 working days, recorded can take up to 7 working days, and the next day can take up to 2 working days.


 14: I am making inquries to purchase or sell  bulk phones to your company, what do i do?
Please email  to  info@greentec.org.uk, then a manager will assess your requirements and respond accordly.


 15: I have a few items want to send in, do I have to fill all in the order form?
 It is good if you fill in, alternatively, you can send the details to us via email, please let us know your email address so that we can send you the order form, send us back when you fill it all in, then we can help you to fill in on the web accordingly.


16.  Do you inform/acknowledges when it receives old mobiles and other digital gadgets from the customers?
Yes we  automatically acknowledge receipt of mobiles, however, customers can email in to its customer service dept at service@greentec.org.uk anytime and the department will be happy to up-date them.

17. Can the customers from other than UK send their mobile phones as well to you?
We welcome customers from abroad too, however please let us know the IMEI no of the phone; otherwise, we can not provide quotation since this is foreign phone. Also provide the specifications of the phone details and we  will then let you know by email if we can process it.

18. How to find the i.m.e.i number of the mobile phone?
The i.m.e.i number of the mobile phone can be found by removing its battery, there one can also find the model number of the mobile phone  or press on your phone Hash sign 06 and then the hash sign again.

19. Can a customer drop off the cell phone by himself at the celltocomparison.co.uk office?
Yes, one can come to the office and drop the phone but please ring first and we confirm back to you and we agreed the time of drop off.  however one would not get the payment at that same time as the phone needs to be tested at our part. The company will give the customer a stamp and signature to proof recite of delivery. It would be good to send the phone via post by recorded delivery or special and you got proof of delivery.

20. Is it necessary to send the relevant accessories in with my item ?
Yes, it is important to send the accessories of the phone as well, as without relevant accessories it would not be given a working grade and therefore we can not process your item. .

21. Is it important to send the registration form along with the phone? Or just sending my item with the order number would suffice?
The registration form is very important as this helps out in tracing your item.. Without this form it usually takes a lot longer to process the relevant information which can cause a delay in the payment.
